An Unselfish Corporate Gesture
(an amazing offer in defense of our children’s’ future).

I read, yesterday, with joy and absolute delight, in my late-arriving emails, of the most amazing and unselfish gesture I’ve read about in my lifetime.

Elon Musk, Founder and Chairman of Tesla Motors, extended a HUGE helping hand to the entire automobile manufacturing industry. In a simple act of caring and kindness, to ensure that our children have a decent chance of living a life in a world that is able to offer them a quality of life similar to what I’ve had, Musk publicly stated that his electric car company, Tesla Motors, would share all it’s knowledge and patented technologies with any manufacturer that desired to produce their version of an electric vehicle.

I am hopeful that among the likes of General Motors, Toyota Motors, Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Motors, Nissan Motors, Hyundai Motors, Kia, Honda Motor, Volkswagen, Daimler (Mercedes Benz), BMW Group, SAIC (China) and Audi — there are a handful of them that will take Tesla’s offer and design and build their own version of an electric vehicle, for our children’s sake.

In my mind, there has never been a more innovative and pioneering industrialist in American history, than Elon Musk. He is doing business in a manner that is to be admired. What Tesla is doing today will have long-lasting and beneficial affects on all of mankind, and our fellow species.

Elon, you are a man who gets it. You are my newest hero.

Thank you for being bold enough and daring enough to do what no other automobile manufacturer has the generosity, courage or guts to do.
